Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect meaning. Words in the singular include the plural and vice versa.
Definitions
- Company, we, us, or our means SportsGround.ca.
- Website means https://sportsground.ca and related pages.
- Service means the Website and features we provide, including directories and owner tools.
- Account means an owner or user profile registered on the Service.
- Content means text, images, data, reviews, listings, or other material posted or submitted to the Service.
- You means the person or organization accessing or using the Service.
- Country refers to Canada.
Acknowledgment
These Terms form a binding agreement between You and the Company. By accessing or using the Service, You accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If You do not agree, do not use the Service.
You represent that You are (i) the age of majority in your province/territory (or have verifiable parental/guardian consent), and (ii) authorized to bind any organization You represent.
User Accounts & Acceptable Use
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your Account.
- Do not misuse the Service, including: spamming, data scraping, reverse engineering, attempting unauthorized access, introducing malware, or interfering with normal operation.
- Comply with all applicable laws and venue rules when using information obtained from the Service.
Listings, Submissions & User Content
- By submitting Content (e.g., venue details, images, logos), You confirm You have all rights necessary and that the Content is accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
- You grant the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, adapt, and distribute the Content to operate and promote the Service.
- We may edit, moderate, refuse, or remove Content at our discretion (for accuracy, quality, legal, or safety reasons).
- Venue owners remain solely responsible for their own policies, prices, availability, and communications.
Role of SportsGround.ca
We are a discovery directory. We do not operate venues, set prices, control schedules, process bookings, or collect payments for venues. Interactions, bookings, or transactions you make with a venue or third party are solely between You and that party.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and trademarks, is owned by the Company or its licensors. Except for limited rights to use the Service as intended, no rights are granted. Do not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written permission.
Links to Other Websites
The Service may link to third-party websites or services. Links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. We have no control over third-party content, policies, or availability and accept no responsibility for them.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (including Accounts or listings) at any time, with or without notice, if You breach these Terms, create risk, or for operational reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to the Service.
In any event, our aggregate liability to You for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of CAD $100 or the amount You paid to us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions (including consumer protection laws in Québec) may not allow certain limitations; where prohibited, those limitations will not apply to You.
“AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” Disclaimer
The Service and all Content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to conflict of law principles. Mandatory consumer protections in your province or territory (including Québec) continue to apply.
Dispute Resolution
Before filing a claim, the parties will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith within 30 days after written notice. If not resolved, disputes will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (subject to any non-waivable rights you have under applicable law).

Canadian Legal Compliance
You confirm that You are not subject to Canadian sanctions or on any sanctions list administered by the Government of Canada and that You will comply with applicable export, sanctions, and anti-spam laws.
Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
Translation
Where we provide a translation of these Terms, the English version will prevail in the event of a conflict, except where local law requires otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance.
